Black Bean Avocado Dip is a light and healthy dip with only a few ingredients. I was introduced to this dip at a potluck about 15 years ago when my good friend brought it and I fell in love! Actually, my whole family ended up loving it even my kids. I have made this dip many times throughout the years for others and everyone always loves it and asks for the recipe. Simple ingredients and yummy!

Ingredients you will need-

  • 2 cans black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2-3 avocados, diced
  • 1/2 onion diced,
  • 3 limes
  • salt to taste

How to make-

Step 1. First open cans of beans, place them in strainer, and rinse a few times with cold water.

Step 2. Next chop up your onion and avocado.

Step 3. Mix the beans with the onions and avocado gently; squeeze the lemon all over and sprinkle salt to taste and mix.

Step 4. Serve with tortilla chips

Tips-

  • This dip is best eaten right away
  • Try it with the scoop type of tortilla chips because it’s…. good!

Storage-

  • can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for a couple of hours but best eaten right away
  • I wouldn’t recommend freezing
