Method
- First cut your onion in half and thinly slice.
- Next add the onion to a glass bowl or jar, add in boiling water/hot, vinegar, lime juice, sugar, salt, garlic clove, and stir.
- Set on counter for 30 minutes then place in refrigerator covered for another 30 minutes or until ready to use.
Notes
- These pickled red onions are a great topping for tacos, sandwiches, salads, and more.
- Store in airtight glass bowl or jar in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
