Why you will love this recipe-
- Easy to make – everything comes together in one pan
- Great for a crowd – perfect for feeding a big family
- Customizable – add veggies, different cheeses, or spice it up
- Filling and satisfying – protein-packed and hearty
- Perfect for busy mornings – prep ahead and bake when ready
Ingredients you will need-
- 2 French breads, hallowed out down the middle
- 1 lb. breakfast sausage,cooked
- 10 eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar jack cheese
- 1/2 block cream cheese
- 4 green onions, sliced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3-4 tablespoons melted butter

How to make-
Step 1. First pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. Hollow out the middle of the bread to create a boat. (Save the inside and make croutons or breadcrumbs.) Cook the sausage until done.
Step 2. Next whisk up the eggs with the heavy cream and salt and pepper. Set aside
Step 3. Then brush the bottom of the bread with some melted butter and toast bread in the oven for about 5 minutes. Take out and sprinkle some of the cheese on the bottom of the bread, about 1/4 cup in each loaf. This creates a layer so the bready doesn’t get soggy. After that add in little pieces of cream cheese into each loaf, then sprinkle in sausage and green onions.
Step 4. Now you can pour the egg mixture in each loaf, sprinkle on more cheese and bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until set. If it starts to get too brown you can cover it with tinfoil to prevent it from burning. Let the loaves sit for at least 5 minutes before cutting into it. My kids like to eat it with Siracha.

Tips-
- The trick not to have soggy bread is toasting a little bit and adding a little cheese at the bottom to create a layer.
- Feel free to add whatever meat and veggies you want. I think it would be good with some diced up red bell peppers.
Storage-
- These Sausage and egg breakfast boats can be prepped ahead then put in the oven to bake when ready.
- Any leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator a day or two. Heat up in the air fryer for better results.
